6 Steps of Praise
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NLT)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good
and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope... If you look for me
wholeheartedly, you will find me.”
I’ll never get the best of what God has to offer until I give God my best.
Worship is love expressed
Matthew 22:37 (NLT)
“Jesus replied: ’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind.’”

‘’Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship

your disciples under control!” But he said, “If they kept quiet, the stones would do
it for them, shouting praise.”
1) Halel: Where we get the word Halleluiah (praise to
God) To rave, boast, celebrate, to be
clamorously foolish.

“I will thank you in front of the great assembly. I will praise you before all the
people.”
2) Yadah: To a cknowledge in public.
Psalm 138:1 (NIV)
“I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart.”
3) Barak: To bless by kneeling or bowing.

“Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name.”
4) Zamar: Making music to God with strings.

5) Shabach: To address in a loud tone, to shout.
Psalm 63:3-4 (NIV)
“Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as
long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.”
6) Towdah: To lift hands in adoration.
Psalm 50:23 (NIV)
“He who offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright
will I show the salvation of God.”
7) Tehilah: Exuberant singing.

“I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.”
