Riley Newman is Airbnb's former Head of Data Science. He actually joined the company as the first data scientist and as one of the first employees.
9 years later, millions of guests & hosts have been connected. Airbnb reached a $35 billion valuation.
Riley decided to move on in the summer of 2016, at a time when the data science organisation had over 100 members. He is now General Manager at Wave, an early-stage venture firm that specializes in marketplaces.
