Okay, today I want to talk about the big question that everyone has to grapple with, before they brave stepping into being seen. And that is, who am I? Everyone asks this question. It's, we also call it impostor syndrome, the who am I? Who am I? Who am I to do this? Who am I to do this? Am I specialized enough? Am I experienced enough? Am I certified enough? Who am I? Okay. Listen very, very, very, very, very carefully. I don't believe in most of the hierarchies that our culture subscribes to. I don't believe in any of the hierarchies that our culture subscribes to. I do believe that there is one hierarchy. And that is biological. And by that I mean ancient ancient DNA that holds the wisdom of the Earth, the wisdom of our origins. And if black womxn were the first if a black woman was the first human body discovered that means everyone is a descendant of a black woman. So that means genetically, there is biological hierarchy for the knowledge and the information that we have access to, in our bodies and our spines, and our bones. And indigenous culture, memory is held in the bones. And so there is an innate wisdom and innate knowledge inside of us, that was erased in silence and eradicated the day that our colonizers decided that our way of existing and being and doing things was bad, and they wanted to make us be like them, and extract our bodies to capitalize off of. So just even... it's like the history is the proof of the "Who am I?" Who you are, is someone that was so in tune, so connected and so powerful, that white men were so threatened that they had to come for you. That's who you are. That's the knowledge that you have inside of you. Is it fully formed? Is it fully matured and developed? No, no, it's not because it's been suppressed for 500 years. So there's no way that it can be there's no way that will be. This is where the work starts here. Who are you? You were born for this. You are meant for this. You are meant to lead. Black women are meant to lead. We have natural leadership skills. How your brain works. How your body works, your thoughts, your values, your beliefs. They are meant to move us into this next world into this post colonial world. And they can't do that if you don't share them. They can't do that. If you don't risk seen. You have to risk being seen you have to risk showing your insides on the outside it is vulnerable it is vulnerability. The foundational principle of indigenous culture and indigenous practice is that and the acknowledgement and the acceptance the radical acceptance that we are vulnerable. And Western culture is spent its entire existence trying to be invulnerable. It's not of thing doesn't exist. otherwise doctors wouldn't be paid so much. Everyone's trying trying to live forever. We can't we got it. We are made to die. It's a cycle. It's cyclical. We are vulnerable, we are soft, we are fleshy, we are hunks of meat wrapped around the skeletal system. We're vulnerable. And so it's that vulnerability that is going to lead the new path, not this thing that we've been subscribed to for 500 years, which is the illusion of strength, the delusion of core strength or whatever, it's all in softness. And who knows more about softness and black woman so who are you, you are the cure, you are the salve, you are the key you are the medicine. And what we do in this space is together is create boundaries around your medicine, so you can dispense it to the world, but that your boundaries is enough so that the world does not deplete you that it's reciprocal, that it's nourishing, that it's a right relationship. We've been extracted from for 500 years, y'all. We're done. We're done. We're done. We are done. I want you to do a journaling exercise where you write down everything that you would done with everything that you are done with. I'm done working for people committed to self abuse. I'm done letting white people have their hands in my pockets. I'm done subscribing to the white man's dream. I'm done subscribing to white man's values. I'm done hating myself. Because other people can't admit there's something about us that scares them. The unknown. Indigenous cultures aren't scared of the unknown. They're in relationship with it in right relationship with it. Western culture is terrified of the unknown, addicted to control addicted to rigid structures and control and planning ahead and knowing and greed I mean, like that's how this whole energetic stockpiling started is scarcity mindset. Nature doesn't need to stockpile nature doesn't stockpile. If anything, you stockpile, for the seasons. But you're not like oh, let me try and bears aren't like ooh, let me try and save up these berries for the next 50 winters. Their like "Nah I just need berries gave me through the next three months because there'll be more berries next Spring!". If the humans don't fuck it up, nature is cyclical. There will always be more berries, if we engage in our reciprocal relationship with it. Right now we're destroying it. We're destroying the earth. So who are you? The only person equipped to stop it is who you are. The only person and oh my god, we need all hands on deck. Because if you looked around recently, the world will worlding and people are crazy and we need all hands on deck. We are engaged in a mass mass re-education because guess what everyone's realized that we've been brainwashed and indoctrinated for the past 500 years we're engaging in a mass re-education we need so many teachers we need all of our knowledge we need collective knowledge. We need to all be coaching each other and educating each other and buying each other's products and services because it's up to us to guide ourselves because we've been intentionally misguided. So who are you. You are the salve. You are the salve. So anytime that imposter syndrome starts to creep in, anytime your brain starts to brain. Starts to think "What I have to say isn't good enough.", "I need to do this before I'm ready.", "I need to do this before I'm ready.", "I need to do this before I'm ready.", "I need to do this before I'm ready.". The voices aren't going to stop not for a long time. But what you will start doing is you'll start to recognize and discern and say oh, that's the voice of the oppressor. I'm not gonna listen. Hi oppressor. I hear you. I see you. Get out of my fucking head. Because you're wrong. I'm not gonna listen. You have to deal with your shadows now. Because you will not manipulate and control us anymore that's who you are.
