Today we are talking all about one of my favorite hobbies: travel!

Recently, my husband, Patrick, and I traveled to Canada (Vancouver and Whistler). After a summer spent at home in Santa Barbara, this was the first true vacation (and international trip) that we have taken in a while. As we all know, travel comes with its highs and lows and successes and headaches. I’ve been reflecting on our trip, and I wanted to share some tips and observations about traveling with you all (some more serious than others):

• Change is constant
• Casual clothing at the airport
• Trusty reusable water bottles

• The unfasten-seatbelts ding moment
• Airport hotels really are convenient
• Why we usually don’t rent a car
