As we get together with extended family and friends, we may have some tough conversations. Coming off the election, we might get sucked into political conversations. Or people may have very strong feelings about Coronavirus and masks and schools opening. Or they may be vegans and disagree with the menu choice. Or they may disagree with your life choices!
Whatever it is, it’s that time of year when we look around the dining room table and think, “What is WRONG with them?”
But you know that when you ask that question, your brain will answer it... and that doesn't lead us anywhere good!
That's why we're going to work together to develop a better question today, one that allows us to see the good in others and sow seeds of peace, love, and joy -- not discord.
We'll talk about three ways to prepare ourselves for difficult people, and one specific question to ask when we find ourselves in the midst of potentially contentious situations.
