I’m thrilled to share that “DeepSeek in Practice,” co-authored with Andy Peng and Alex Strick van Linschoten and published by Packt, is now available for pre-order. The book is split into three parts—understanding DeepSeek’s place in the large language model ecosystem, building real-world applications (my focus, including chapters on prototypes, local models, XGrammars, vLLM, and AWS LMI), and distillation/deployment—plus a deep dive into agents using the Model Context Protocol with practical agent patterns.
