I was reading a book called Who switched off my brain. It’s about dealing with stress, negative emotions, and toxic thoughts. And I came across something fascinating, it talks about, how your thoughts and what you think of, can determine your mood or make it even worse.
So, here’s an example: If you’re feeling down, you always think of the worst possible things. Let’s say you’re lonely, you conjure up every memory that you have of when you’ve been left out, all the times you’ve been wronged or weren’t invited over. You dig yourself deeper and deeper into that plot.
And, it just gets you more set in your ways.
When you’re thinking of something, how do you get out of that funk? Or, how do you ensure you stay in a positive, healthy mindset?
