If you look at a playlist of the old WFPC during the 1990’s many of those songs were written by a songwriter with Pike County roots Kerry Kurt Phillips who penned many classics for the likes of George Jones Joe Diffie Tim McGraw George Strait Billy Ray Cyrus Vern Gosdin Tracy Byrd and so many others.
