Founder Sarah McDevitt, sought out to create Core after realizing the amount of anxiety she’s never experienced before after playing basketball in college and starting her career with Microsoft. She found personal relief in meditation, but discovered it was challenging to make it a regular long term habit and wanted to better understand the science behind it. “One thing that’s cool is just about being able to see the change in a session, over the course of the session is you can see which types of exercises help you calm down the most, for example there are some breathing techniques that are really intended to calm you down quickly and you can practice those so they calm you down faster each time.” 26:37
