Justice-Centered Parenting

60. Peace + Power for Justice-Centered Caregivers: ONE a Day

Listen Later

We crave strong, mutually caring connections with our kids. We know they want the same kinds of connections with us.

The cultural default is pressure to always give more time, more energy, more resources. (This is particularly true for caregivers with marginalized identities.) This pressure pits our kids' need for connection against our other responsibilities, including the need for a break.

It doesn't have to be this way. We don't have to default to expectations that harm us. We can define our own expectations instead.

This episode will help you and your child(ren) feel closer and more connected, without requiring you to increase your parenting workload. Less shame, more joy and connection.
