When the enemy sows the seeds of confusion and doubts in us, his ultimate plan is to cheat us of the benefit of knowing our identity in Christ.
In today's episode, I will share 5 benefits of knowing our identity in Christ as the second part of the 3-part series we started last week.
The knowledge of God's word alone can save us from many things.
A certain level of boldness comes with being sure of who you are. It is God's will that we are close and have an intimate relationship with him. When we go shaking in fear before God, it shows that we don't fully believe in our identity in Christ. By dedicating our lives to living as children of God, we have been given unlimited access, and we are expected to boldly utilize this access.
As kingdom daughters and believers, recognizing our identity in Christ means we are no longer controlled by our flesh. The spirit of God takes control and leads us through everything. Receiving salvation means that we have been given access to His redemption power so that even when we fall prey to the enemy's antics, grace is sufficient, and the spirit of God takes the lead.
Living life on our own terms can be overwhelming. Even with God, we find ourselves giving in to our flesh sometimes. It is essential to know that loving with the consciousness of our identity gives us our due rewards. This means that when we till the ground, we are assured of a timely and bountiful harvest. God will never allow us to labor in vain.
Being in Christ takes off the barrier of lack. Our God is rich in every resource you can think about, and He loves His children so much so He will supply our needs with abundance. When keeping close to our hearts our identity in Christ, we get automatic access to the riches of our maker, and irrespective of what your finances are looking like at the moment, trust God for a supply.
Realizing who we are and whose we would help us make decisions in God's wisdom. He knows the best for us and loves it when we apply wisdom to get what we ought to get.
