This piece is based on field recordings made in Adıyaman, Turkey,

during the continuing demolitions of apartment buildings, many very new,

that were structurally weakened by the February 2023 7.8-magnitude

earthquake. The demolitions have reportedly razed

as many as four entire neighborhoods
