Come and be restored
Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
(John 4)
As we journey through our 2026 theme, ‘Come and See,’ we arrive at a well where Jesus restores the hope and dignity of a lost woman. This is probably amongst my top 5 favourite stories from the New Testament.
Why?
Well, there’s so much in here we could probably spend an entire year discussing all there’s to discover…for our time on Sunday we’ll focus on the woman’s inherent need to be acknowledged and restored… and how she (in response to the encounter) goes out to share the Good News with her village…
