  • Netflix won it’s first full length feature award when Icarus was awarded Best Doc
  • Jordan Peele is the first black person to win Best Original Screenplay for Get Out
  • Roger Deakins finally won an Oscar after 13 previous nominations for Best Cinematography
  • The Jet Ski gag was probably the best bit of the night
