This week Carly and Hannah talk to James Washington, Point Park Graduate, Professional dancer, and current Dance Department Lead at an esteemed Performing Arts Highschool in Pittsburgh, PA. The 3 discuss the challenges and advantages of being a male dancer, and reminisce over their positive shared competition experiences. James sheds some light on transitioning into a leadership role in a Performing Arts Highschool, and how draining that schedule can be. He also shares how creating more opportunities for his students than he had himself, is his overarching goal.
