Can God redeem anyone? Any situation? Any horrible circumstance? Any atrocious hurt? Even something outright evil? 

If you glean anything from Gene’s story, it will be that the answer to those questions is undeniably YES. God can and does redeem anyone and every circumstance. He can take the darkest of hurts and turn them into the brightest of rays of His glory. 

And has. In Christ. 

Gene was a career police officer and detective who saw first hand the evils of this world, beginning with his own broken family. But God kept pursuing him, and eventually burst through the door of his heart to save him and breathe new life into him. Gene’s story is wrought with pain, trials, sin, and regret, yet more powerful than all of that is the grace, mercy, and redemption he experienced in Christ.
