Your child has a mind of their own. They get an idea and they want to do it, even if you say no. Help them learn that when you give a direction, you expect them to do what you ask. Consistency and support are the key.

Today’s activity: Give a direction one time. If your child does not respond, give the direction with more support. Walk over there and help. Distract your child with something just as interesting.
