The Prophets foretold of God providing a Lamb to take away our sin.  Jesus came and became that Lamb.  The promise was fulfilled.  We no longer live waiting for the Promise to be kept.  Now we live on This Side of the Promise.  No longer bound by the Law of the Flesh but the Freedom of the Spirit in Christ Jesus.
