Tonight our guest is Ms. Laura Banner.

By training, Laura is a certified family nurse practitioner. By passion, she is a dementia advocate.

Because she is aware that dementia affects the entire family, she has a family-focused approach to treating her patients. Additionally, she is a certified Alzheimer's and dementia care practitioner. This training helps her to train those who care for dementia patients. When she isn’t seeing patients in the clinic or the hospital, she can be found out in the community educating people about dementia in hopes of empowering others to increase community awareness of this devastating disease. She guest lectures to graduate students in the nurse practitioner program at the University of North Georgia and to the physician assistant students at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
