62 Who Knew ?!? Ep 093
Tonight our guest is Mr. Richard "Rick" Stark.
Rick has been a longtime small businessman and community leader in South Florida.
Rick made the transition from community activist to candidate for State Representative so that he could move this state in the right direction by restoring adequate funding for public education, providing affordable, quality healthcare to Floridians, bringing jobs to our state, and fighting for the values that have made America great.
In 2012 Rick was elected to the Florida House of Representatives for District 104 which includes Weston and parts of Pembroke Pines, Southwest Ranches, and Davie. He has served on several committees such as Education, Appropriations, Military and Veterans, Highway and Waterway Safety, the Affordable Care Act, and Insurance and Banking. Bills that were either sponsored or co-sponsored and passed include education equality for our active military and veterans, the building of a Holocaust Memorial in Tallahassee, health insurance reform for all policyholders in Florida, and legislation to safeguard against distracted driving. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, he was able to obtain funding to assist the many services important to Broward County and his House District.
