They identify a solution (I can move the chair and climb up to get it) and then take action to reach the goal.
Today’s activity: Act as a spotter as your child practices climbing in appropriate places, like on the playground. Encourage them to use solve a problem to reach a goal—like push their chair to the table so they can have dinner.
