What does this entail and why is it important?

For Paul in this passage it’s non-negotiable. To be filled with the LORD’s life-giving Presence is AS IMPORTANT as drinking your daily dose of water…

In the Greek we refer to this command as an ‘imperative’… this means we don’t really have a choice if we want to follow Jesus in obedience – I’ve never noticed that before, to be honest! Here’s the good news if this is news to you… we all have free access to the joy and life of abundance flowing from a life in the Spirit!
