Jesus masterfully uses figurative language to teach the vast truths of the spiritual desolation that all face outside of the Kingdom of Heaven. Just as food is necessary for physical life so is God's Righteousness necessary for spiritual life. Hunger is a great motivator that drives the sinner to the only satisfaction ... the Grace of God through Jesus Christ.
