SCHMERSAL GROUP NAMES SEEGER APME DIRECTOR
The Schmersal Group has named Uwe Seeger director of Asia Pacific Middle East (APME). In this newly created role, he is responsible for expanding customer relationships through establishing new Schmersal subsidiaries and increasing the services of the new safety-services division, tec.nicum. He also takes lead responsibility for Schmersal factories in India and China, working closely with Sagar Bhosale, managing director of Schmersal India Pvt. Ltd. in Ranjangaon/Pune, India, and Felix Liu, managing director of Schmersal Industrial Switchgear Co. Ltd. of Shanghai in an effort to "achieve improved integration of these two production sites and leverage synergies."
63-STORY TOWER RISING IN NYC’S MIDTOWN EAST
A 63-story, 803-ft.-tall mixed-use tower designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli with SLCE as executive architect has risen to the sixth floor in Midtown East in New York City (NYC), New York YIMBY reports. Located at 138 East 50th Street, the structure is set to contain condominiums and apartments with ground-level retail within approximately 253,220 sq. ft. Ceruzzi Properties is the developer, and completion is anticipated in 2018.

GILLAND JOINS KONE DOORS TEAM IN AUSTRALIA
Joe Gilland has joined the KONE Doors team as a maintenance technician, servicing units in Canberra and New South Wales, Australia. Gilland says he is excited to work for KONE, where his grandfather spent a long career. KONE has more than 1,500 employees and 18 offices in Australia and New Zealand.
