Sometimes I write these stupid bits of prose and I think to myself - 'boy-o-boy i'm amazing', but today I am thinking how I now feel committed to providing a service no one wants. I never know whether to put thoughts in speech marks, I know a lot of novelists do it, but I think I don't like it. I don't think they know the implications soliloquy has on the philosophy of language - it's not like normal speech. And anyway you just can't quote a thought - they are not opaque. When you quote a thought there is always a really dangerous element of interpretation that is going to obscure meaning, it is much safer to summarise a thought. CRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAZZZZEEEEEEEEYYYYYY YYYYYYEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHWOWOWOWOWOWOOWOOWOOWOOWOOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOOWOWOOWOWOWOWO.
