Charlotte talks about Edith Wilson, the wife of Woodrow Wilson who served as the president of the United States from 1913 to 1921. She was the first First Lady to effectively become the acting president while her husband was incapacitated after a stroke.

What happens when someone who has absolutely no interest in politics and government becomes the First Lady? And did her love for her husband cloud her judgement a little when it came to making important decisions?
