Rich Bennett knows first-hand that doors open when we obey God. He was working in marketing for Sprint in KC when he felt the call of God to move to Colorado and join Focus on the Family, where he ended up serving on the executive team for 12 years! Then, in the last five years, he became President and CEO of Life Network, a nonprofit organization that provides physical, material, and emotional support for women and men facing unexpected pregnancies. Rich is a self-proclaimed "Chief Encouragement Officer." He told Bobby, "You can tell someone needs encouragement if they're breathing." Tune in for leadership lessons about moving beyond "how can you make me look good" and into a servant leadership position that says, "What can I do so my team succeeds?". Doesn't that sound like flipping the org chart?
In this episode, you'll hear:
About the guest: Rich has almost three decades of leadership experience in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. For the last five years, Rich has served as President and CEO of Life Network, a nonprofit organization that provides physical, material, and emotional support for women and men facing unexpected pregnancies ... mentoring and counseling for new parents ... and risk avoidance education in schools. Prior to that, he was part of Focus on the Family's executive team where he led Family Ministries, Marketing, and Strategy areas during his 12 years tenure. He's also served in leadership roles at two Fortune 100 organizations: T-mobile and Honeywell. Rich is passionate about championing the value of life and helping parents "do family" well. He and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 28 years and are the parents of two young adults.
About the host: Following a successful career as CEO, Bobby sold his business to a publicly-traded company. In what he calls his "second half of life", Bobby seeks to pour Biblically-based principles into growth-minded business, church, and nonprofit leaders.
