ONE SMALL STEP

Wendy talks about friends who were able to read scripture to her and pray with her during deep grief and suffering. They would talk her through her pain without being threatened by it. They would remind her words of scripture.

As we’ve experienced so much suffering this last year, think about how you can grieve well and fully and who you might want to bring along. We may need to sit in Lamentations or have a sobbing prayer meeting. Repeat the strories of pain and retell the stories of grace. Story by story, pray: Lord this is not what you created. Redeem this, we pray.
