Rappers who love crime fiction are must-have guests on the JDO Show. Mr. Rocca is one of the coolest guests I've had so far. A 20-year veteran of the hip-hop game, he now raps as one half of Career Crooks (with Small Professor), and writes for Passion of the Weiss, Red Bull Music Academy, and several other awesome outlets. We talk about his life amongst the organized crime of South Philly, his love of Megan Abbott, work ethic, prioritization of time after fatherhood, and learning humility and wisdom after the tumultuous journey of youth.
