Has this year shaken you up? How do we best handle loss, tragedy and the unforeseen circumstances that we may have experienced?
If we can learn how to look at life a little differently… taking aggressive action but leaving the outcome to unfold as it will, we will develop a resilience that will carry us through even the toughest of times.
My guest this week, Taryn Southern, has an impressive background and career as an artist, storyteller and digital personality.
A former YouTube personality & comedian, Taryn is passionate about the intersection of emerging technology, storytelling, and human potential. With more than 750 million views across her online videos, she has had a longstanding fascination with internet culture & influence.
Her directorial debut, I AM HUMAN, a documentary following three humans with brain computer interfaces, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in the spring of 2019.
But reality hit hard when shortly after her movie premiere, she found out that she had stage 3 breast cancer.
She took a year off work, and credits a balance between pragmatism and humor, along with the support of her friends and community, for getting through those rough times.
In this vulnerable episode, Taryn shares the behind-the-scenes of her journey to resilience. Hit PLAY above to learn how you can better navigate difficult circumstances, no matter what might come your way.
