Welcome back to Nuanced Beauty!
TODAY'S EPISODE
Join Bill and I as we dive deep into the nuance that it is to find a SINGLE sock in the dryer. This metaphor was just the perfect accumulation of what life has felt like this week for me, Christina. We dive into having a sick kid, starting a microgreen business, not getting a job that was a possibility and the podcast production changes I am working through because of company mergers and the powers that be changing platforms to edit. All these woes led me to have a life crisis in the event of not finding the matching sock! It was incomplete, just like ALL the other moments in my life lately.
I do hope you will leave encouraged by Bill's humor and our drastically different reactions to how life comes at us. It's great to long for completeness, but not at the expense of consuming the here and now moments. Seek out the beauty in the nuance and hang tight. That will forever be the journey we are on, and some weeks are better than others.
"Dear listener, how do you handle finding one sock when you unload the dryer?"
BOOK RECOMMENDATION
No specific segment this week!
Other honorable mention(s) in this episode:
Willy Wonka / C.S. Lewis (a mis-quote!!! was actually Mr. Rogers) / a bunch of country songs: Beautiful Mess, Front Porch Looking in, Mr. Mom. / Crux of the Biscuit
Thanks for listening!
