We @TheCottage explore how the ancient people of the Bible to whom God was speaking understood the Scriptures to show us how God was speaking to them yet communicating to them revelation for all of us even today even if in their context. Having reviewed our series on Jesus's Walking on the Sea, we focused in on the disciples' not knowing who he was and thought they had seen a ghost. Jesus declares unto them who he is. They weren't certain, so we explore more into what the context behind them not understanding who he is involves and what Jesus is tapping into here. My mentor Dr. Michael S. Heiser did his dissertation work in this passage. It is through the lens of this passage we can understand who Jesus claims to be. We are laying the foundation to discovering the riches hidden in the ancient Scriptures of God's people to learn God's way of doing and being in our daily lives. Stay tuned for our future episodes as we continue to discover more mysteries of the Bible in the sessions that follow.
