Thank you for dropping in! I’ve got a great guest for you today, with an incredible story. He’s a super stud adventure athlete that gets outside all the time and is super fit and healthy. I guess that’s what makes his story so incredibly mind blowing. On January 6th of this year, he entered an easy little ski mountaineering race. At least it was easy by his standards. He jumped into the race, last minute and ten minutes into the race, he had a cardiac arrest. Erik Sanders was without a pulse for 40 minutes before he was brought back to life. He is now working his way back to some semblance of normalcy and getting out for regular walks and runs. He’s still working through the emotions and trauma that comes with something like this and I’m sure you can hear it in his voice during our conversation. Erik is a super cool, humble guy and I’m so glad he’s alright and here to tell his story. It’s an inspiring one and I think this one is going to get you right in the feelers.
