Jay-Z said "The only Christopher we acknowledge is Wallace"....well here in Chicago the only Washington we acknowledge is Harold. Harold Washington was the 51st Mayor, as well as the first Black American to be elected mayor in Chicago. This episode I interview Professor and filmmaker Jeff Spitz as he talks about how Mayor Washington popped up on his radar and how he had the privilege of interviewing him for a short documentary titled "The Roosevelt Experiment” focused on Roosevelt University which so happened to be where Mayor Washington attended in the 1940s.
