Brian Gulbraa is a dedicated and ambitious student at MacEwan University, where he is about to begin his fourth year in the Bachelor of Commerce Accounting program. Despite not achieving stellar grades in high school, Brian has excelled in his studies by finding effective strategies and maintaining strong motivation. He previously completed the Business Management program, graduating top of his class. Brian's journey has been marked by perseverance through challenging times, fostering close relationships, and nearly completing his degree—a milestone he once thought unattainable. He aspires to start a business with a close friend from the BCom program.
Brian's personal experience with loss came in November 2020 when his father unexpectedly passed away. The suddenness of this event, coupled with their strained relationship, made coping particularly difficult for him. Initially, he struggled to accept the reality and found it hard to focus on anything but regrets. Over time, Brian learned to give himself grace, allowing the grieving process to unfold at its own pace. His support system, including his girlfriend, childhood friend Cody, his mother, and his sister, played a crucial role in helping him navigate this tough period. They provided emotional and practical support, allowing Brian to gradually heal and find solace in positive memories.

He emphasizes the importance of thorough note-taking, organizing notes for better recall, and not hesitating to seek help when needed.
