Hoodoo, Conjure, or Root Magic are terms synonymous with one another used to describe a magic that was born from African culture, and the captive African people's need to take some control of their lives in a time when they had very little. It was a magic born of resilience, determination, reverence for the earth and one's ancestors, and channels positive energy into spiritual practice to help smooth the road ahead. We discuss the practice, as well as its focus on communing with the spirits of both the earth and your ancestors, and even share a ritual you can do to establish that connection with those that came before you at the end of the ep, if you're so interested.
