Rick Sanchez welcomes show producer Scotty Mednick to discuss the secrets of getting ahead in business and your career.  One of those secrets is not being afraid of breaking the rules.  If you are not the boss or the head of your own company then you need to work harder and longer to get noticed.  Embrace your status as an outlier and don’t allow it to become a deterrent to achieving your goal.  Sometimes you have to break the rules to get ahead, but you must first make sure you know the rules before you break them.  Sanchez concludes that there is no instruction manual for this and it’s ok to be the first one to do it.  It gets uncomfortable when you break the rules and you will be criticized.  Hold your ground, stay the course, and don’t be afraid.  The results will speak for themselves.
