67. Stephen Quinlan | Sustainability & Profitability is Possible Seeing 15 Clients a Week
FEATURED GUESTS: Stephen Quinlan grew up in the mountains of Colorado. After finishing his bachelors degree, he decided to go back to school to become a psychotherapist. In 1999, he moved to New York City to work on his graduate degree. He worked for five years in the housing projects of East Harlem at the James Weldon Johnson Counseling Center, which is well known for its rigorous training of young therapists. His work focused on working with children who had severe emotional needs through play therapy. Additionally, he worked with adults who were dealing with issues related to depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia. He also worked on the front lines of 9/11 and with the Red Cross.
In 2005, he relocated to New Hampshire where he currently runs a private practice. He works with clients he loves, about 15 hours a week, generating a consistent six figure income. This allows him to spend his free time taking care of himself and working on side projects such as coaching other therapists, producing his podcast “Practice Growth”, and writing books.
