The Scriptural teaching that our God is triune or three-in-one—one God, yet three persons—is a teaching that defies our limited human reason. No matter how hard we try, we cannot wrap our minds around this unfathomable concept. So how can we possibly believe this teaching? The Holy Spirit enables us by faith to understand how the Son has accomplished what the Father sent him to do. Because of the Father’s self-sacrificing love for undeserving sinners like us, the Son in grace gave his life for us and now the Holy Spirit restores us to fellowship with God. We stand in awe and praise at the glorious, gracious majesty of our God!
