Why can't I get what I want in life? Seriously! I do the "path" that everyone including myself says to go for --- I exhibit remarkable skills at my age, achieved accomplishments beyond compare, and yet I sit here unfulfilled.

Something's missing. Why not me? I find hope in what I accomplish, how good my children act, my great job, my halfway decent husband (no man can be perfect).

You are confident in your "stuff". But in life without all that stuff, you fill empty.

You've got all your stuff. You're playing the crazy busy schedule. And then you think the problem is "them"; anybody but you.

Why not me?

It's not of our doing, even though that tends to be our focus. Going for what we want instead of calling upon God for His direction.

I too get distracted. I too can get tempted by what's right in front of me.

We need to call on God, ask Him for guidance and the path He desires for us. And then the more we begin to speak with Him, the better our relationship becomes.

Our confidence lies within our own accomplishments instead of relying on Christ's confidence.

Instead of asking why not me, ask ....

1. Pray.
2. Ask Him.
3. Listen to how He prompts you.
