Today’s video features “The Mermaid and the Red Candle.”

💡 This story was inspired by “Akai Rōsoku to Ningyo” (The Red Candles and the Mermaid) by Mimei Ogawa (1882–1961) — a well-known modern Japanese short story.

I rewrote it in easy Japanese (JLPT N4 level) so learners can enjoy and understand the story more smoothly.

This episode is suitable for JLPT-N4 learners.
