Navigating a society when one has a disability can be very challenging indeed so having a local MP who is also registered as disabled and who understands first-hand the difficulties people face can be very reassuring. 

In this week’s episode of Talking in the Dark Evie speaks with Liberal Democrat MP for Torbay, Steve Darling.

In this conversation Evie and Steve speak about lots of fascinating subjects such as: Steve’s childhood growing with a visual impairment and the impact this had on his schooling, his career as a politician and the great enjoyment he gets from serving his community and helping others, and his world famous guide dog Jennie and her sudden rise to notoriety through social media.
