Political Islam is one of the most virulent ideologies ever created. If political Islam takes control in a country, it will turn the clock back to the Middle Ages. No human rights. No freedom. No democracy. And no fun. But the push back is starting. That much is clear. Where it goes is not clear to me. It could be a gradual process whereby Europe and North America reassert their original values. That could be a long process, but it could be successful. Alternatively, the process could turn violent. Time will tell.
