7-6. The day they hung Santa.

December 1927. Santa followed by a group of local children walked down the street heading to the First National Bank. Leaving the children outside but accompanied by three men he walked into the bank. Greetings of “hello Santa” was met with a shouting Santa telling everyone to “grab some sky” in a less than jolly tone. 

This was the start of shootings, manhunts, car chases, and injuries. A total of eight were wounded. Including Santa and his stealing elves, six men would end up dead.
