Last year, when I was in the process of redesigning my website, I booked a photography session with Ashley C. Ford. Ashley is an event and portrait photographer based in southeastern Pennsylvania. Fun fact: I HATE getting my photo taken. I never got excited for photo day at school and cringed whenever my mom asked me to jump into family photos. I knew that professional and branded photography would pull my website together, so I reluctantly started looking for photographers to work with.
I didn’t want to be airbrushed within an inch of my life or stand awkwardly in a gazebo somewhere trying to hold my smile. When a friend recommended me to Ashley, I reluctantly checked out her Instagram feed. What I saw completely blew me away! Her photos were beautiful but retained a certain sense of vulnerability. They were a snapshot in time that managed to capture the true essence of her subjects. After a few text exchanges, I was walking through the Bristol Warf and Ashley was taking photos at some of my favorite haunts. It was an incredible experience and I highly recommend checking her out a www.ashleycford.com if you’re looking for your next photographer. In the meantime, listen to my last podcast, which features Ashley and learn all about her!
We talk about:
