#1 – Connect with the Event Organizer on social media
#2 – While at the event, meet a wallflower and don't chat with just one person
#3 – Be prepared with an updated LinkedIn profile
#4 – Ask to connect on LinkedIn to stay in touch
#5 – Invite connection to a follow-up call and subsequent in-person meeting
#6 – Make a note on the back the connection's business card, where you met, when and a note to remember them for future follow-up
