"Better Late Than Never is a story I wrote as part of a collection of poems, stories, and random thoughts that I continue adding to called Covid Diary. 

The first death in Canada from Covid 19 occurred in a seniors home close to me, in North Vancouver. Whenever I drove past it I couldn’t help imagining the people who were sick and dying, alone in their rooms without family close-by and it made me want to write about it."
