In this episode we’re joined by Toni-Ann Robertson ( a first generation Jamaican) to discuss the history of how racism has been systemically created within the American society and how it has evolved during time. Starting with slavery and abolishment to then leading to segregation, mass incarceration and redlining to finally bringing about the civil rights movement and to where we are now. We talk about how systemic racism has effected the livelihoods of black people growing up in America and the opportunities they have.
