In this week's episode, the film club gang discuss the 2018 Gaspar Noé dance-drug-horror, Climax!
The film is set in a single building in the Winter of 1996, France. A beautiful large dance troupe is rehearsing. Later, as the after party kicks in, the dancers become increasingly confused and distressed when they suspect the sangria has been laced with acid.
We reflect on Noé's controversial body of work, including Irreversible and Enter The Void, and consider whether these disturbing cinematic experiences have a "purpose" or is he just messing with us?!
Thank you for listening and enjoy the episode!
