This week, I finish the second half of the Joyland Park story. Joyland came under new management, and the park began a series of ups and downs much like its famous rollercoaster prior to the park's ultimate closure. There are good moments (new rides, like the Log Jam and Whacky Shack) and bad moments (deaths, injuries, catastrophic floods, lawsuits). In its abandoned state, the park became a haven for urbex enthusiasts. Ultimately, a series of fires destroyed much of the park's infrastructure. However, the park still remains a fond memory for locals, and physical pieces of the park can still be found today.
